A word from Pierre
The waters off Dingle, where the base we referenced in Ireland is located, are home to two main species of whale, the humpback and the minke whale, as well as common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins.
Dingle has become home to both species because they follow the large shoals of fish as a source of food along the coast.
Excursions are made on an 11.5 m RIB. The skipper is also a marine biologist and will provide you with a wealth of information and be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The Shelltone Whale Project's cetacean-watching charter is fully respected.
