Because whales deserve a respectful approach

Respectful whale watching from DINGLE, IRELAND

We are a global environmental organization dedicated to the protection of cetaceans through the listing of eco-responsible and respectful whale watching bases.

Increase your chances of spotting cetaceans with non-aggressive approaches by marine biologists and naturalist guides.

Unstressed animals are easier to observe, in a calm and respectful atmosphere.

By observing whales and dolphins with operators approved by Shelltone Whale Project, you are helping to protect them at no extra cost to you.

The Shelltone team's opinion

The waters off Dingle, where the base we referenced in Ireland is located, are home to two main species of whale, the humpback and the minke whale, as well as common and bottlenose dolphins.

Dingle has become home to both species because they follow the large shoals of fish as a food source along the coast.
Excursions take place on an 11.5 m RIB. The skipper is also a marine biologist and will provide you with a wealth of information and be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The cetacean enthusiasts selected by the Shelltone team in Dingle chose the RESPECT.
