A word from Pierre

We invite you to share in a family tradition and a unique Alaskan experience. For over 10,000 years, the Tlingit people have thrived on these lands and travelled the magnificent waterways of Southeast Alaska, sharing their traditions and guiding visitors through the beauty and majesty of Haa Aaní, their homeland. Experience the hospitality of the original inhabitants of Southeast Alaska.

Many of your hosts, the captains and crew, are descendants of the Hoonah Tlingit, the first people of south-east Alaska.

You'll sail through the waters of the Strait of Icy, home to a diverse array of wildlife, including orcas (killer whales), Steller sea lions, sea otters, harbour seals, Dall's porpoises and the magnificent humpback whale.

Keep an eye out for brown bears and Sitka black-tailed deer roaming the shoreline, as well as the noble bald eagle perched in the treetops. From the village of Hoonah to Point Adolphus, near Glacier Bay National Park, Icy Strait Whale Adventures will be delighted to show you the majestic beauty and culture of Alaska!

The Shelltone Whale Project's cetacean-watching charter is fully respected.
