The Shelltone Team’s Review

The waters surrounding La Gomera are among the richest in the Canary Islands for observing cetaceans. Pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, and several other species regularly inhabit this part of the Atlantic, where deep offshore waters and ocean currents create ideal conditions for marine life to thrive.

Depending on the season, Atlantic spotted dolphins, striped dolphins, common dolphins, rough-toothed dolphins, beaked whales, Bryde’s whales, sperm whales, and sea turtles may also be encountered. Every excursion offers a new opportunity to discover the remarkable diversity of this marine ecosystem.

We selected this team for the quality of the experience they provide and their respectful approach to this exceptional environment. Whale watching is naturally complemented by the discovery of the crystal-clear waters along the southwest coast of La Gomera, offering visitors a deeper appreciation of the richness of the marine world as a whole.

Beyond encounters with cetaceans, these excursions invite visitors to fully experience the ocean. An experience that reminds us that understanding the living world is not only about observing it, but also about taking the time to share its space.

What We Particularly Appreciate Here

The opportunity to extend the encounter with the marine world beyond whale and dolphin watching. A destination that reminds us that the ocean is not only something to observe—it is something to experience.
