Located on the shores of Eyjafjörður, one of Iceland’s longest fjords, Hauganes offers a whale watching experience on a human scale, in an environment where the sea remains an integral part of everyday life.
The waters of the fjord are regularly visited by humpback whales, harbor porpoises, and other marine mammals that find favorable conditions in this region. The proximity of the whale watching grounds allows visitors to reach areas frequented by the animals quickly while minimizing travel time on the water.
