Fue en Maui, Haw\u00e1i, en 1981, donde Pierre Lavagne de Castellan se encontr\u00f3 por primera vez con las Koholas, las ballenas cantoras, guardianas del oc\u00e9ano.\u00a0<\/strong>Este encuentro marc\u00f3 el inicio de una aventura \u00fanica, en la encrucijada entre la ciencia, la m\u00fasica y el respeto por los cet\u00e1ceos.<\/p>\n

Fascinado por el canto de las ballenas jorobadas<\/strong>, Pierre qued\u00f3 cautivado por la excepcional calidad de su m\u00fasica: armon\u00edas complejas, una tesitura sin precedentes y la profunda sensaci\u00f3n de que esas canciones ten\u00edan un significado, un prop\u00f3sito concreto, quiz\u00e1 incluso una dimensi\u00f3n espiritual. Para comprender el mensaje de las ballenas, hay que sumergirse en el agua y tocar m\u00fasica con ellas. Ah\u00ed es donde ocurre todo, bajo la superficie, en el intercambio de notas, m\u00fasica y sonidos. Es a trav\u00e9s de este intercambio cuando empezamos a percibir el mensaje que encierra su canto.<\/p>\n

Tocar m\u00fasica para las ballenas desde un barco solo permite mantener una relaci\u00f3n a distancia. No hay contacto, ni intercambio f\u00edsico, ni emoci\u00f3n compartida.<\/p>\n

Intentar comprender su lenguaje desde un barco, simplemente sumergiendo un hidr\u00f3fono en el agua y descodificando los sonidos en un ordenador, incluso con la ayuda de la inteligencia artificial, es un poco como intentar comunicarse con los ojos y el coraz\u00f3n bien cerrados.<\/p>\n

Cuando tocas m\u00fasica con una ballena jorobada bajo el agua, a su lado, cuando sientes c\u00f3mo se acerca lentamente para percibir mejor la vibraci\u00f3n y la emoci\u00f3n que emanan de tu cuerpo y de tu coraz\u00f3n, entras en contacto con algo esencial, un momento de compartir absoluto, y de repente te das cuenta de que su inmenso ojo est\u00e1 a menos de un metro del tuyo, y te sientes atra\u00eddo hacia las profundidades de esa mirada. Es entonces cuando empiezas a comprender que te est\u00e1 ofreciendo acceso a su alma.<\/p>\n

La creaci\u00f3n de Shelltone<\/h1> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

En 2002, Pierre Lavagne de Castellan dise\u00f1\u00f3 el Shelltone, un instrumento musical revolucionario creado espec\u00edficamente para tocarlo bajo el agua. The Early Research<\/h1>\n

To understand the message of whales, you have to go underwater and play music with them. That is where it happens, beneath the surface, in the exchange of notes, music and sounds. It is within this sharing that we begin to perceive the message contained in their song.<\/p>

Playing music with whales from a boat only allows for a distant relationship. There is no contact, no physical exchange, no shared emotion.<\/p>

Trying to understand their language from a boat, simply by lowering a hydrophone into the water and decoding sounds on a computer, even with the assistance of artificial intelligence, is a little like trying to communicate with your eyes and your heart wide shut.<\/p>

When you play music with a humpback whale underwater, at her side, when you feel her slowly moving closer in order to better perceive the vibration and emotion emitted by your body and your heart, you touch something essential, a moment of absolute sharing, and suddenly you realize that her immense eye is less than a meter from your own, and you feel yourself drawn into the depths of that gaze. In 2002, Pierre Lavagne de Castellan designed the Shelltone, a revolutionary musical instrument created specifically to be played underwater.
