The origin of the association<\/span><\/h2>\n

In the beginning, Shelltone Whale Project, an association under the French law of 1901, was created by Pierre Lavagne de Castellan, a marine bioacoustician and ethologist, and is recognized as being of general interest for its environmental actions and cetacean acoustic research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 1981 in Maui, Hawaii, Shelltone Whale Project's mission has been to play, improvise, co-write and record music with whales, sublimating through this joint creation the fundamentals of inter-species communication with cetaceans. <\/span>It was this association that laid the foundations of the Shelltone Whale Project environmental organization's mission.<\/span><\/p>\n

These years of research into the intimacy of the animals, and their deepest feelings about our presence among them, have enabled us to develop a non-aggressive approach technique<\/span>, extremely effective because the animals are confident.<\/span><\/span><\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The problem of abusive whale watching<\/span><\/h2>\n

Abusive whale watching poses serious problems for cetacean welfare<\/span>. The practice of watching whales and other cetaceans up close has become an uncontrolled tourist industry, with many boats invading their natural habitats.

Non-respectful approaches disturb the animals, causing stress, behavioral changes, loss of appetite and even abandonment of their territories.<\/span>. In search of thrills to satisfy tourists, certain operators neglect regulations and best practices<\/span>, The company's new plant is a major threat to these sensitive species.

L'origine de l'association<\/h2>

Au commencement, le Shelltone Whale Project, association de loi 1901 reconnue d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat g\u00e9n\u00e9ral pour ses actions environnementales et ses recherches acoustiques des c\u00e9tac\u00e9s a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9e par Pierre Lavagne de Castellan, bio acousticien marin et \u00e9thologue.<\/p>

Depuis 1981 \u00e0 Maui, Hawaii, la mission du Shelltone Whale Project est de jouer, improviser, co-\u00e9crire et enregistrer de la musique avec les baleines, sublimant \u00e0 travers cette cr\u00e9ation commune les fondamentaux de la communication inter-esp\u00e8ce avec les c\u00e9tac\u00e9s. C'est cette association qui a pos\u00e9 les fondamentaux de la mission de l'organisation environnementale Shelltone Whale Project.<\/p>

Le whale watching abusif pose de s\u00e9rieux probl\u00e8mes pour le bien-\u00eatre des c\u00e9tac\u00e9s.
