The Shelltone Team's Review
Founded in 1984, this organization was created 42 years ago with a simple aim: to share its love for its island, its ocean and its marine environment with all visitors to Moorea.
The guides were among the first to interact with Moorea's marine fauna and to develop safe, respectful, eco-responsible approach techniques. All team members are originally from Tahiti or Moorea. They have all grown up with the ocean as their playground, and enjoy sharing their experience on and in the water with their clients.
French Polynesia is reputed to be the best place in the world for an aquatic experience with humpback whales. The dates of the whale season may vary, but humpback whales can generally be seen from mid-July to mid-November. French Polynesia is one of the few places in the world where you can swim with these magnificent giants. You can swim with the whales in the company of our experienced guides.
In addition to whale watching, our excursions offer you the chance to observe spinner dolphins, pilot whales and pelagic sharks at sea, while in the lagoon you can observe sea turtles and various species of tropical fish.
There are specific government regulations and guidelines that we must follow when swimming with wild animals. Our experienced guides will inform our customers before they take to the water, for everyone's safety and respect for the animals.
